Webinterface on iPhone should display cached messages from the Mac client

Reported by: noshtzy Assigned to: timothy
Priority: normal Component: Colloquy (GUI)
Version: Latest 2.1 Severity: normal
Keywords: webinterface web interface iphone Cc:

Description

What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. People in IRC channels converse normally 2. A scrollback buffer of all those in-channel messages are maintained 3. Webinterface on iPhone does not read from this buffer. It only displays new messages since connecting to mcolloquy

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Since Colloquy is always running on the Mac, I would like to see all the messages that have been left when I connect to Webinterface on iPhone, not a blank screen. The normal WebInterface? does this.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? Colloquy 2.1 (3761) w/ latest version of webinterface plugin on Mac OS X 10.5.3

Please provide any additional information below. I can understand if very large buffers can cause issues with Webinterface on iPhone, but there would also be a preference in the info.colloquy defaults that could set a scrollback limit, IE how far Webinterface on iPhone will read from the actual buffer when displaying the channels.

I didn't mean mcolloquy at the end of my first paragraph. I meant Webinterface on iPhone

I can confirm the same behaviour. I'm using Version 2.1 (3761) with the Webinterface plugin. I'm only receiving messages if they are sent while I'm logged in to the webinterface.

It would be nice if the iphone page displayed the same old messages as the current webinterface.
